    Hello Everyone,

I'm new to using a dedicated server so I hope that someone can help me on how to Add an Ip address?

I go to IP Funtions in my WHM - I see the below
    Ip(s) to add:
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

I put the IP I want to add in the "Ip(s) to add" and what about the "Subnet Mask"? Do I make it blank?

Someone told me that I need to configure my IP block before I can proceed but how do I do that?

    Thanks.

I have the same question. My server exists with a single IP address today, for example:

    123.123.123.82

My host gave me a second address, for example, 123.123.123.87

What do I put for the subnet mask? I'm thinking since it's a single IP, I would use 255.255.255.255 as the subnet mask. Or, is it wondering what overall IP block this IP is from, in which case I believe my host has the whole Class C, so 255.255.255.0.

    Confused.

    Go on, have a guess
I'd suggest either contacting your provider and asking them, or just go ahead and use 255.255.255.0 ;)
