    Hi,

I'm wondering if there is any doc on how to add my own scripts under "addon scripts" ?

I understand that XController or Fantastico do it but I definitely need something else as I need scripts which are not commobly used.

    Any idea ?

    Thanks,

    Maxime

Fantastico does it seperately, doing it it's own way. That way when cpanel is updated fantastico is not affected. If you want to add custom scripts you need to create your own fantastico - that way your stuff won't get overwritten.

But it uses Fantastico's coding. It's yet another of their products that they stole from Kosmo. I don't buy stolen software, end of story.

It does not use Fantastico code. My auto-installer is perl his is php so please let me know where his code would be. With v1 we had some sort of an agreement that i messed up on but he has been paid fully and the situation was taken care of. You can ask kosmo he has been paid and he welcomes the competition.

    Thanks

Take a look at the simskins demo from cpskins.
It seems like they are using the icons that we put together for Cpanel XP. Take a look at the file manager.
The upload button is exactly like the one in our CPanel skin, to the pixels. It even has same flaws.

Wow. When you say you "put together" those icons, does it mean that you created them? In other words, were the icons stolen?

Take a look at the upload icon. It was assembled by combining the arrow icon and the document icon.
In other words there wasn't any such icon before.
I was surprised by the similarity of sim skin upload icon and ours because the chance that it was assembled with such uncanny similarity is less than 0.1%

This isn't the only similar icon.

Are the images in question within the Public Domain? The pages showed by the two URL's above, both use the same Icons for: file, file upload, trashcan? Just wondering if both sites used some publicly available icons from one of the many Icon sites out there.

On another note, at the bottom of this page, http://enhost.com/web-based-controlpanel.htm it mentions:

"With our new WYSIWYG HTML Editor for creating and publishing web content. No more spending on $5000 Content Management System because our Editor does it all (editing font sizes, colors, inserting hyperlinks, images, tables and more)"

I am curious as to whether this is the same one provided (by default) with Cpanel -- and can only be used with IE 6.x -- or something created by enhost.com? I would love to find a WYSIWYG Editor (Open Source preferably) that doesn't have an 'IE Browser only' restriction.

The WYSIWYG HTML editor is the one that comes with CPanel.
It is only IE compatible. Most users are using IE anyway.
Things would have been different 5 years ago when IE and Netscape are competitors. Because of the lack of innovation on Netscape's part Microsoft manages to outperform them.

It doesn't matter what it is now, it was originally Kosmo's code. Even if it's a total rewrite, you still sold somebody else's code in the first place. That's just wrong. Paying him for it doesn't make what you did right!

And what is your answer to my first question: Are the images in question within the Public Domain?

Those folders are Windows XP Folders, that can be gotten off windows XP if you wanted.

CPSkins.com code uses the same code as the InvisionBoard & phpNuke that was put together by CPanel if I'm not mistaken he can confirm this.

From my understanding of the Fantasico matter he paid it in full.
