    Hi there,

I have a quick question that I am a little stumped about.

Currently I have, for example the following domain setup.

    mydomain.com
    ns1.mydomain.com 11.11.11.11
    ns2.mydomain.com 11.11.11.12

I need to setup an A record that points from a subdomain to an external IP address.

    autodiscover.mydomain.com 33.33.33.33

How might I set this up in WHM?

    1. Should I add a DSN zone?

    2. Should I create a subdomain and then redirct to the 33.33.33.33 IP?

    3. Should I create an A record in the mydomain.com DNS records as follows?

    autodiscover.bell-electrical.com. 14400 IN A 33.33.33.33

    OR

    autodiscover 14400 IN A 33.33.33.33

Basically, I can't seem to get anything registered as an A record for the subdomain autodiscover.mydomain.com so that it can be used by the external IP address of 33.33.33.33 located on another server. I believe this is being used for either a Sharepoint site or special Email site.

    Thank you!!

I would add the subdomain using cPanel, then go to WHM -> edit DNS and change the IP for that subdomain entry.

    Hope that helps,

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a shot.
