I am trying to install a support ticket system that requires the facility to use smtp to forward emails from a website. I believe I need to allow smtp from localhost as my exim.conf tells me this is disabled by default

When I follow the instructions to uncomment the line in exim.conf "# host_accept_relay = localhost", exim refuses to resatrt, throwing up the error

    "host_accept_relay" unknown

I guess this has been deprecated, but how can I allow my script to send smtp via exim
    ?
