A number of my users have asked me in the past if they can edit their zone file from cpanel.

Usually they want to add a CNAME...

Is there a way for them to do this?

    If not, why not?

    Thanks.

Users can modify their MX record via the cPanel interface at this time. Modifying other records is not possible via the cPanel interface at this time (only the WHM interface).

You can view the feature request for this functionality at:

    http://bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=900

You may wish to vote for that functionality as well as read the comments as there is some discussion regarding the issues related to implementing such functionality.
