I have been receiving tons of local relay mail alerts tonight for an account that should not have mail sending privileges at all...

I am worried that some spamming is occurring so I need to know how to block the account from sending mail without blocking the entire account until I can have the developers investigate tomorrow.

    Thanks in advance.

To disable the account from sending/receiving emails you can do the following through SSH:

    chmod 000 /home/user/mail
    chattr +ai /home/user/mail

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

To block only "sending" privilege can be done via exim filters

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
