    Hi all,

Does anyone know if it's possible, on a shared cPanel server, to block all emails from all local domains to a specified remote domain?

I want to block all outgoing mail to Yahoo on our servers, and it would be nice / ideal if I could somehow send the users a bounce message back stating why it's blocked and what alternative action to take in order to send mail to Yahoo recipients.

The best discussion I could find so far on this is the following:

Block outgoing emails | exim | users

I'd suggest posting on the exim mailing list at exim.org to get their take on the best type of router or filter to use for this type of capability.

For some reason, I was almost certain this had been discussed here before where I found some working example 6 or more months ago, but I wasn't able to locate any thread of that nature in search (possibly either memory or search failure on my part).

Only thing I've seen a while back is here: http://forums.cpanel.net/f43/block-forwarding-111609.html

Doesn't exactly address your requirements but I did try Sparek's implementation in the past (which worked as described) and it might be a staring point for you.

DavidG's input while quite detailed was certainly over my head.

Would still like to see this capability included in WHM/cPanel.
