    Hi,

I wish to only block emails that contain chinese characters but not to block that country from sending english text emails. If possible I would prefer to redirect them to a spam folder.

I see posts about blocking the country, but this may mean we miss real emails with english text in it.

How best should we go about this ?

    Hey,

I have already seen that post before, but still not sure how I block the chinese characters only. I have added just one of the email contents to the account level for the emails and see if these get sent to the spam folder i have created. if the junk shows up there then great, thank you.

But one thing I am not sure about is now that filter actually works. Does it search for that phrase or for any of the chacters? if it is any characters then now does the other filters work as I use normal letters for the text to search for as a phrase and not for any of the letters in the phrase.

You would have to post the specific account level filter that you added and we can let you know what it's looking for and the action it's taking.

    Thank you.

Yes thats what I would have thought, but followed the posts before. What other method apart from blocking the country could I use to filter emails that have chinese characters ?

Setting up a filter to block certain characters or phrases, as referenced in this thread, is really the primary alternative to blocking the country.

    Thank you.
