Hi ya

Is there anyway to set up Cpanel so that when you send an email, your client HAS to use SMTP Authentication so it uses a username and password?

I just tried http://www.abuse.net/relay.html and was shocked to see that my server could be open for spammers!

hi james

on any CPanel server you cant relay your mail just like that. If a person checks his pop email account then and then only he is authorized to relay the mails.

So in a way he is autheticating with server by checking his pop mails.

or else he can use the secure authentication as well if he has not yet downloaded his pop mails to outlook.

best regards,
