How to block telneting to port 25 ???

    Hi anyone knows how to filter telnet to port 25 ?? I dont mean how to disable telnet service (I already had it deactivated on port 23)
    But if anyone do telnet myserver.com 25 it opens de smtp server, how I can disable this?¿ :eek:

    you can drop the port from firewall.

    of course, that means you will also drop any incoming mail to that server, and you clients won't be able to send emails using your server.

    why would you want to to this anyway?

    telnet it's not "opening" the smtp server, you need to autenticate to be able to send emails.
