Hi. Newbie here. I'm about to create a site for a customer. They have their own domain name pointing to an old site. I'm going to build them a new site using a temporary domain name that I own. When they sign off on the new site, my plan is to redirect their domain name to the new site and then completely remove my temporary domain from the picture so I can use it for the next customer. I know how to do that at the registrar. But what changes do I make at cPanel (or WHM?) to make this happen? Thanks.

Create their account like you normally would using their domain name. It won't be visible on the net until the DNS is updated at the registrar.

Assuming your server allows it, they can access it via http://yourservername.com/~theirusername or via ip address at http://127.0.0.1/~theirusername

As soon as you make the switch at the registrar, you'll be live.
