How to change database prefix

    In cpanel server how can I change the database prefix settings so that the new database name will be like 'database' not 'username_database'

    where can i change it.. I have root access. It is a cpanel server with CentOS5.

    As root, you could manually create a database without the username prefix but I have to ask you what your motivation is in wanting to do this?

    If would generally be better all around to be consistent with the standard set by Cpanel and just simply update your scripts and programs to use the default username prefixed database names.
