How to change how subdomain FTP user names are created?

Hi all,

Anyone know if you can change the way cpanel creates a subdmain FTP user name?

I need to make the subdomain user names be:

john.doe.org
NOT
john@doe.org

Cpanel says "When logging into the ftp server please use the username exactly as it appears below. If the username includes a "@", make sure to include it when logging in. Example: Use "[email protected]" and not "john"."

I want it to be the reverse of what they state.

I'm looking to create these user accounts as:

"john"."

NOT

"john"@"


any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
