    hey there.

i need to change my servers ip's (i'm migrating to a different C class).

I know cPanel licence is per IP. How to i make the transition smoothly?

I'm not interested in details about how to actually switch to the new ips, or setting up new ip's for clients. I know how to do that.
I need help only regarding the licence part. Do i have to keep the original IP on a virtual interface? will that work?

I have an external cPanel licence, and i own both the IP classes.

Thank you very much in advance.

If there is trouble, it will find me
Submit a ticket and tell them the new IP address. It worked smoothly for me.

    this means what?
they will change the ip in their database?

btw, what happens if the licence expires or isn't payed? what will stop working?
i'm asking this cose prolly we won't sinchronize(me changing the ip, and them changind in teir db).

Also, the ip that is licenced must be a primary ip of the server?
cose if i can add an eth0:1 with the licence ip problem would be solved

When license "expires," (and in this case it may not literally expire, but would be considered expired unitl ip address is updated) you will be unable to access whm or any cpanel on the server. Everything should function as normal.

i think i'll ask for a 14 day licence, install it on a test server and let it expire :)

then i'll post here what exactly works or not :)
