Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry I wasn't clear. but how does the client reset their mysql password? they don't have access to WHM. I'm guessing through phpmyadmin but I haven't been able to find out how to do this. Can anyone give step by step instructions? Pretty please?

    Many, many thanks!

It sounds that you are a user and don't have your own dedicated server. Assuming that you don't have access to the WHM, you'll have to login to your CPanel and clcik on MySQL DB button, and change the password for any of your DBs.

I do in fact have a dedicated server. I just upgraded from reseller. And I *do* understand how to change the DB password in WHM. My question was.. how to do this in cpanel (without WHM) or via phpmyadmin?

After the user is set up and password given... how do you go about changing that password??? There does not appear to be any button you click to change the password in cpanel.

I'm extremely frustrated as is my customer.

delete the user and recreate it with the new password remember to add it back to the user back to the databases it was associated with
