How to change MySQL root password on DNSOnly server?

The DNSOnly server includes a MySQL server, however there is no way provided to change the MySQL root password from WHM.

Before I go ahead and change the password from the mysql> command prompt, are there any additional cPanel-specific steps that need to be taken? Anything else to hand edit or any cPanel-provided scripts to run?
