We need to do backup of very big sites. We perform backup weekly using cpanel cpbackup script.

But this script dies for some reason leaving gzipped file in /home/cpbackup/daily folder.
    We perform remote FTP backup.

I see /var/log/cpbackup.log file on our server.

How to check this log? Looks like it is binary?

    Any help will be appreciated.
