The installation and configuration, if done properly, if far to extensive. Contact me and i will quote you on a price for installation and configuration or find a freebie howto and try to do it yourself.

MailScanner through Cpanelplus should be revised

I followed the steps of cpanelplus.com, everything well.
Now, MailScanner this in the version 4.25-14 and Clamav (now http://www.clamav.net /) in the version 0.65.

The problem is when I work SpamAssassin. The email server stopped.
Dear Mahmoud, you could comment on these alterations.

    Thank you.

Did you enable the SpamAssassin in MailScanner.conf?
If you did then disable it.

Other than this MailScanner should not do any problems with SpamAssassin (The one which can be enabled from the control panel)

In this case the correct configuration should be this:

    # Do you want to find spam using the "SpamAssassin" package?
    # This can also be the filename of a ruleset.
    Use SpamAssassin = no

Will the Cpanel box treat of the additional configurations?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Just one question: why is it not safe to have SpamAssassin turned on with MailScanner?
    - What are disadvantages?
    - I noticed that SpamAssassin won't work on its own the is "off" in MailScanner.

    Your input is appritiated

    Regards,
    Cretu

The main disadvantage is that SpamAssassin in available in cpanel. If the user enabled it in cpanel this means the email will be scanned twice by spamassassin. (Server Usage)

Also It is not good to enable the SpamAssassin serverwide when there are many users does not want to use it.
