    I had a problem in the past. I have a website set on a dedicated ip. And the nameserver for that domain is pointed to that dedicated ip, NOT THE MAIN SHARED IP. Is there any way I can add something to cpanel or apache to make it listen on that ip?

    B/c right now I have to manually change my httpd.conf each time I add a subdomain. A ticket was submitted for that. Here is what he said: (Data changed for security)
    Is there any way to fix it so it listens to that ip? Thanks.

    If you add the deciated ip into whm ip list then apache will listen to that ip automaticly, all ips that are acclocated to the server if you do not tell apache not to use it, Then it will, i had this problem when i wanted it not to listen to a cetrain ip. But it managed to fix it.

    Hope that helps.

    Apache dns

    Generally apache is bind to all network interface.

    0.0.0.0:80

    0.0.0.0=all

    I get this from my cpanel server with command

    netstat -an |grep 80

    Yor problem is that you have not assign ip for new web server

    Give me similar out put from your cpanel server :

    host www.xxxx.xxx
    and
    host ip

    and

    ifconfig

    Generally apache do not need new ip for new domain.
    if you use name virtual host.

    Nat

    if you use NAT and your cpanel server are with internl address like 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x
    you need to steps

    1. On cpanel server you need one more IP let say 192.168.1.101
    2 On your NAT server you need real IP ( new one if you use all available ) that will map with your internal IP
    let say 212.7.3.101 <=> 192.168.1.101
    on both directions.

    I have the domain on whm set to the internal ip. But how do I link the internal ip to the external one?

    My domain still works when I go to it, so does it mean its already mapped? It's just my subdomains.

    And also, I tried setting up a ssl certificate. Usually it works, but now it doesn't. Could that be due to how its mapped to the server? All I get is "This page cannot be displayed".
