how to configure the grub

    Hi ,

    I have two harddisk,with linux as primary and secondary as windows so i want to share files from windows ie; secondary disk for that i have configure the grub, but that's not working, following line i put in grub.conf. so guys advice me the correct configuration for do so.


    title Win
    map (hd0) (hd1)
    map (hd1) (hd0)
    rootnoverify (hd0,1)
    chainloader +1

    The map functions have referenced are a "virtual swap" performed by grub, so windows does not get confused. Are you trying to access windows files from linux? If so you will need to make sure your kernel has support for NTFS filesystems(read-only is solid, read-write is going to make windows want to chkdsk everytime), and then mount the partition.
