Tell the customer to add a remote host through their cpanel. The remote host must be his/her IP or a wildcard (%).

Then the DB can be accesed using as host your servers hostname and as user/password the DB's user/password.

    Hi RedFutura and Roberto,

What are you using to access the database?

And why would someone want to do it that way instead of using phpMyAdmin?

    Thanks for the info!

Some clients want to use MySQL Front to access the databases from their desktop.
