How to Controle Permissions

    I have many equipped with cpanel host, recently purchased a host, file permissions and not the same, I can not by my zencart program to read and write 644 files must be 666 Caixing folder must be 777not 755. the imagehander4 need the cache to be 777,and i changed it ,but the Subfolders subfolders created has been 755 lead can not write

    You can change permissions in the File Manager from cPanel or from FTP using the chmod command.

    You can also run PHP as suPHP or fastcgi. My guess is you have your server running in DSO and this is why the permissions are different.

    You can change your PHP handler by going in WHM -> Service Configuration -> Configure PHP and SuExec

    You may need to make sure the correct modules are installed via Easy Apache too.
