How to copy accounts from old server to a new server ?

Dear all,

I just purchase a new server with WHM/Cpanel, and I would like to copy/transfers all my accounts from OLD server to NEW server using SSH commands, how do I do that ? (I know WHM has a function to copy account to new server using web browser, but I don't want to use that, it is too slow, and I want to use SSH. By the way both servers are using WHM/Cpanel)

Hello,

Please try with the following steps.

1) First create the backup on your server with /scripts/pkgacct command ( /scripts/pkgacct USERNAME)

2) SCP your all account backup file to new server under the home directory

3) Restore migrated backup files on new server through /scripts/restorepkg scripts ( /scripts/restorepkg USERNAME)

The following links provide more details on utilizing SCP to transfer files:

scp(1): secure copy - Linux man page

You can however use any file transfer method of your choice (ftp, rsync, etc) to transfer your backup files.
