How to create a tarball

    Hi,
    I have created a new whm theme, how do i compress it so that i can install it in whm, i have tarred it but whm does not allow it

    Im not 100% sure but i believe it has to be gzip'ed as well. when examining an existing tarball i noticed it had to be untarred 2 times so.. perhaps this means you tar then gzip it maybe? Dont quote me on that lol im just tossing out ideas. :)

    I think its not a good idea to rely on WHM to install tarballs of WHM themes, same applies to cPanel themes. This is only my opinion though.

    I think that traditional 'tar -cf' and 'tar -zxvf' methods are not only the simplest but also the best.
