Here's the official solution, I've done this countless times before:
# pico /etc/nameserverips
Change the following:
1.1.1.1=ns1.notyourdomain.com
to
1.1.1.1=ns1.yourdomain.com
If you don't replace it with anything, the alien domain will just show up again. It doesn't matter if there's a nameserver record somewhere pointing to your IP, you can assign multiple nameservers to an IP.
