Hi I have a doubt with something I cant find.
I did a security control to my DNS with this site http://www.howismydns.com/
Everything shows fine execpt for the following:
The nameserver returned something as their version numbers. Check that these do not look like real ones (better yet, disable querying of the version number altogether):
Nameserver Version
ns1.server.com not available
ns2.server.com not available
This is cause at /etc/named.conf I set version "not available"; to "hide" the bind version number... but which is the way to fully disable querying of the version number????????
For example I did a DNS check to google.com with the same site and this warning message doesnt appear, its fine: "Your nameservers do not seem to return any version information".
I would like to disable querying of the version number. Which is the line I should add to named.conf?
Thanks!
