In the docs,
Disable Leech Protection
To disable leech protection, click Disable under the Disable Protection heading.
Where is the Disable Protection heading found?

I am using 11.40.1. I need to reduce RAM usage on my VPS. This feature is using a bit of RAM, but I am not using the feature.

Please advise. Thanks!

In your cPanel > Security section > Leech Protect, do you notice any directories marked here? If yes, click that directory or any really, just to see the settings page, near bottom you find the Disable Protection heading, titled:
Disable Protection:

With a Disable button below it.

Thank you for the info. I now find that button, but also realize that I was maybe not that clear in my original request.

I want to stop the process altogether and have it NOT run on the server at all. I am not using the feature and it is using needed system resources.

So it only removes cPanel access to the feature, but doesn't stop the service?

BTW, I added more RAM to the VPS at issue so this is no longer a need for me.

Thanks!
