Hello, i've looking a lot on this forum, but without results. My question is simple:
How can I disable the "generation of full backup" from cPanel Interface?

I've read about post in this forum wrote in 2008, but as today I can't find this feature.
I've backups running every day and every week. I want that my customer can only download my auto generated backup; if 3 or 4 customer ask for full backup on demand, my server load goes to stars, so I want to offer the ability to download a backup, but not to generate a backup. Another big problem is the quota: sometimes they generate a backup, exceed quota, and can't understand what happened.
If I run a backup every night on server, why my customer have the ability to create a backup everytime?
So my questions are:
1) Can I disable only the "generate full backup" feature in cPanel?
2) Can I limit the backup downloads for client, like once a day?

Thank you :)

Hello

+1 by me too.

Allowing customers to download only already generated account backups (daily, weekly, monthly):
- Prevents systems' high loads, espesially on working days and hours (when servers' utilization is at its peak, also I don't expect my customer to wait until afternoon to generate his backup)
- allows customers to obtain a clean version of his/her websit,e in case of website been hacked or database corruption

Ofcourse on-the-fly backing up of databases, redirections and emals could be available.
