how to do a simple name change of domain?

i have have two cpanl user accounts on my server. one is for my root domain (domain.com) and the other is for a subdomain (subdomain.domain.com) (i have specific reasons for this). is there any way to change the name of my subdomain account? I'd like to simply change the name of my subdomain to something like subdomain2.domain.com without having to reinstall all of the files on a new subdomain.

is this possible?

Root Administrator
Twitter
Login to WHM & access Account Functions >> Modify an Account. Select the account & click Modify. Change Primary Domain to the subdomain2.domain.com & click Save.
