I have installed a WordPress blog on a hosting. But it does not send activation mails after new registration to users and does not deliver mails in case of password forget.

I know in the cpanel,by default the mail function is disabled.I don't know how to enable it.

Plz guide me how to do it or if there be any other setting change.

    Thanks

You would want to contact your hosting provider about the issue. PHP's mail() function would not be disabled by default, but is typically enabled by default. If the normal mails aren't working, you might try to use SMTP authentication in WordPress rather than using the default mail() function. There is a WordPress plugin that allows you to do this:

WordPress › WP Mail SMTP « WordPress Plugins
