How to enable SSL for FTP transfers

    If I want to enable ssl for FTP transerfers then what cahnges to be do?

    Please explain me at server side and also for a client end too with all the basic steps.

    You don't need to enable that.

    1.) Use a FTPClient which supports TLS (e.g. Filezilla choose "FTP over TLS" and ensure you're using the passive mode).

    2.) Make sure that a firewall won't stop the TLS communication. If you FTP daemon is
    PureFTP you might add a range of ports to /etc/pure-ftpd.conf to get through the firewall.

    That is all.
