Any of our created directories in /tmp folder erasing after some time... We cannot track which program/service/process touch the file...

Looks like tmpwatch is not a problem - it is to be run daily, not an every few minutes!

How can we do the trace?.. For example do chattr +i /tmp/newdir and then watch which process access this dir?

Point me to manual/links on this theme.

    Thank you.

    Addition.

I have removed tmpwatch just to find out it is not a source of this "bug"...

Anyone! Help me to find out it!

At the top of the thread you should see a box called 'Thread Tools'. You can subscribe to the thread there. You can manage your subscriptions in the User CP.

Thank you for the links, but...

...SNARE can do the job, but it will needed to be embedded into kernel.

And we have RH7.3 on this machine.
    SNARE hasn't version for RH7.3.

May you recommend something else? Better without kernel recompile?..
