    hi,

i have a freebsd 5.1 server and seem to have mysql stuck in safemode, its not set to safe in the config file but when i restart it using /etc/rc.d/init.d/mysql start i get this:

    mysqld_safe mysqld<servername>

    any ideas?

this is normal. mysqld_safe is the script that's used to start mysql daemon.
