Would like to increase my server's security, someone told me to get rid of Cpanel/WebhostManager but I really enjoy the easy administration they offer.
I only use PHP, MySQL and a few other things, no perl, no python etc.
So my Big question is how can I streamline/tweek what Cpanel updates and could I run Cpanel/maualy update (once a week) ?

You can update cPanel whenever you want or not at all. Won't have much to do with securing your server though. Security needs to be a multi layered approach.
