looks like cpanel has removed the support for 4.0, why not use the 4.1 ??

Looking at the MySQL Lifecycle Calendar, MySQL dropped support for MySQL 4.0 in September, 2006 and support for MySQL 4.1 ended at the end of 2006.

I would recommend that it might be time to upgrade to MySQL 5.0. While I realize this can break PHP scripts, it may make future upgrades less painful. Personally, I recommend that all new cPanel/WHM servers have MySQL 5.0 installed.
