How to know what kernel the server is using?

    I saw a message on cPanel warning of linux kernel exploits. How can I find out what kernel my server is currently running? (I'm still learning system admin stuff) Is there a way to see this in WHM? Or do I have to log into the server in root and run a command?

    uname -a

    should work fine
