How to limit number of mysql pid / processes to prevent memory overload

    The options listed in the thread you referenced are the best ways to limit the connections to MySQL in my opinion. Could you clarify which advice from that thread is not sufficient?

    What are other options, not necessarilly mysql config solutions, but also php or such limits which also influence mysql number of connections / mysql memory accumulation ?
