Unless traffic is explicitly blocked by a firewall configuration the ports should be "open."

Which Firewall did you installed on the server? You can open/block the port from the firewall configuration itself.

If you have installed APF or CSF, you can open those ports from your WHM. Just go to Home >> Plugins and you will find the icon to access the firewall settings there.
There are too many docs available online to know how to install APF of CSF. Takes only a couple of minutes to get them installed
