I need to protect several directories. cPanel allows me to do this by manually viewing each directory and set up the protection. But this is quite a hassle because I don't want to protect just one or two directories, but many.

Does anyone know if cPanel has a feature I could use to speed things up? I imagine something like a batch file in which I enter the directory path and the passwords.
It doesn't matter if all directories have the same password or different ones.

    Thank you!

    Best Regards,

This cPanel functionality is merely a frontend for .htaccess. If you are familiar with .htaccess files, just have the .htaccess file point to a centralized htpasswd file and copy the .htaccess file as needed, making any necessary modifications along the way.
