Hi friends,

I want to create a new AWS lightsail Cpanel instance and I intend to point the Cpanel static IP to my domain and also make the domain name accessible on https.

How do I achieve that?

Hey there! That is a pretty big question as it essentially is "how do I configure my DNS"

The first thing you'll need to decide is if you are going to be using your own nameservers. I think people should, as it's easier in the long run even if there is more configuration needed at the start. You can find details about getting started with that process here:

but basically:

-register the nameservers with your registrar using the details in that article
-ensure you have A records setup so the nameservers respond properly in DNS

As for https, cPanel includes free SSL certificates through AutoSSL (Manage AutoSSL | cPanel & WHM Documentation) so you don't ned to do anything on your end to get that working. As long as your site code uses https, you're all set.

Let me know if that helps!
