    I'm a client.

And my host can access all my files.

So how do i maintain my privacy so that only i have access to my files and NO ONE else.

Because..On my old host the hoster was attacked by a hacker and hence he could access all the client's files through WHM and change them.

    Thanks

If your server is a dedicated one you can add a wheel user, change the port of the server, disable root login and also can change the root password of the server.

But if you need any sort of tech support you may have to provide them new login details.

If you are on a shared server nothing can be done on this. But I really thinks nowadays all shared servers are secured tightly and weekly audits are also performed!!

    Be cool..

Getting your own dedicated server may be the solution. With shared hosting they need root access to everything in order to provide tech support. With a managed dedi they still need root access to help you out.
