There's a backup configuration option to remount and unmount the backup drive which "requires a separate drive/coda/nfs mount". Later on, there's field labelled "Backup Destination" which "should be a directory/NFS/Coda mount". I cannot find any documentation about how to do that, so can anyone explain?

(I know how to mount an NAS drive from a shell, or at boot time, but I only want it mounted for the duration of the backup.)

    Thanks.

    Hello :)

This is achieved through the use of "mount" and "umount". The cPanel backup script will run these commands automatically for you when you enable the "Remount/Unmount Backup Drive" option in "WHM >> Backup >> Configure Backup". "Backup Destination" is where you enter the location of the drive. For example, in many cases it's "/backup".

    Thank you.
