I have found tomcat is causing one of our servers to crash. I have attempted disabling it however apache fails, so I am looking for a guide/permanent solution on how to remove it.

    Thanks

Just thought I'd give this thread a little bump up ;)
Anybody found a (stable) way to remove tomcat from a server without breaking anything in the process?
