    dear friends.
    hi..
    I backup a website from its cpanel/backup full from server1 to server2 .
The backup i can see through FTP software outside the public_html folder.
But I cannot see the backup from the server2 root cpanel, I click on restore full backup/cpmove files, but it display none.
Please guide me how and where to find the server1 backup sites sent to server2. And how to restore it on server2. I will be grateful.

You need to move the backup file to /home or /home2 drive on the server. On restore page, you can see the paths where WHM looks for backup file and you can place the backup file to anyof that location.

    Or just run:
    /scripts/restorepkg username
If you have a username.tar.gz in the /home/ folder this will work.

I did so, but on the new server2, i check on any restore link to find the backup.tar.gz files but not shown. However I try to connect through ws_ftp softwre and all backup files are there in the root of a reseller account to whom I sent the files.
Pls show me some simple tip to restore the files on new server2? thanks.

    Hello,

The backup file is currently in your reseller users home directory.

    say /home/reseller/

You need to move that to /home or /root

for that login to server as root through SSH

then go to home directory of the reseller user

cd /home/reseller ( note : replace reseller with user name of your reseller account )

    then cp backupfile.tar.gz /home

    or

    cp backupfile.tar.gz /root

Now you can get the backup in WHM>>restore backup option

    Hope this will help :)
