    Hi,
    Is there a way to have whm/cPanel send out a welcome email (like I always get when I signup for hosting)? e.g:

    Dear Username,
    Thanks for signingup.
    Your username is abc and your pwd is 12345.
    You can get your cp here: http://
    You can get your webmail here:///

    Is there a setting for that in whm?

    Thanks.

    That is usually done by your billing software, or sent manually.

    Thanks, Ron. I actually didn't sign up for billing software because I only manage a few clients and I do all of the billing myself.

    But do you know of any open source program that would generate the welcome letters? I could make a template and then do it by hand, but it'd be easier to automate. I don't want to signup for WHMCS or Client Exec just for that feature because it's total overkill for me.

    Thank you.

    Thanks a million.

    (I don't suppose you have a reccommendation for one of the open-source ones?) :D

    * Blesta - Blesta.com
    * ClientExec - ClientExec.com
    * HostAdmin - DreamCost.com/?page=hostadmin (Requires purchase of add-on module to work with cPanel/WHM)
    * iHost - iHostDev.com/ihost.html
    * iPanel - iHostDev.com/ipanel.html
    * Logicbill - Logicbill.com

    * Ubersmith - Ubersmith.com
    * Whois.Cart - WhoisCart.net
    * WHM AutoPilot - WHMAutoPilot.com
    * WHM Complete Solution - WHMCS.com
    * WHN Billing Professional - WebHostingBilling.com/whnbilling.html

    Free Applications (Listed Alphabetically)

    * Auto Host Manager (AHM) - AutoHostManager.com
    * FastPay - fastpay.EquableHost.com
    * phpCOIN - phpCOIN.com (Requires add-on module to work with cPanel/WHM)
    * Solid-State - Solid-State.org (Requires add-on module to work with cPanel/WHM)

    Good luck,
    Ron

    I currently use Clientexec, but my suggestion is to enter the names of the ones that interest you into the search function here and read the comments of those using them. There are some good reviews posted in this forum.

    Another option is a postwwwacct script if it's your server.

    The 2nd script here:
    http://www.premierwebsitesolutions.com/scripts/postwwwacct/
    does what you want from WHM when a new account is created.

    I wrote it a while back, but it quit working as of cPanel V11 due to a change that was made, and it took a while for me to get the time to update the script but it works again now.
