You can change it on /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf

    DirectoryIndex index.html.var index.htm index.html index.shtml index.xhtml index.wml index.perl index.pl index.plx index.ppl index.cgi index.jsp index.js index.jp index.php4 index.php3 index.php index.phtml default.htm default.html home.htm index.php5 Default.html Default.htm home.html intro.htm

    Hello :)

Note that if you only have cPanel access, then you can utilize the "DirectoryIndex" option in your .htaccess file:

    mod_dir - Apache HTTP Server Version 2.4

If you want to set the option globally, then you can use:

"WHM Home » Service Configuration » Apache Configuration » DirectoryIndex Priority"

It's not advised to manually edit the /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf file as mentioned by the other poster, as those changes are not preserved.

    Thank you.
