How to set up reseller so they can't change default "email sending limit"?

Hello,

Currently, if you have enabled the "Account Modification (warning: this will allow circumvention of account creation limits, give shell access unless explicitly disallowed, dedicated ips, etc)" option in the WHM feauture ACL for the reseller... then they can change the mail sending limit from server default to anything they want.

How can we fix this so the reseller can still access the "Account Modification" screen, but is not able to change the mail sending limits for the account?

Thanks!

Hello :)

This is currently the intended behavior of the "Account Modification" privilege. You will need to disable that privilege to ensure the reseller can not modify the email limits for the accounts. You are welcome to open a feature request for more control over which features a reseller can modify at:

Submit A Feature Request

Thank you.

I just tried to add it as a new feature request, but I got some error about insufficient votes... and it looks like the feature request was *not* created.

:(

Should I give up in frustration, or is there something I should be doing differently?

Could you let us know the exact error message that appears?

Thank you.

What does voting have to do with creating a new feature request? Are you saying I can't create a new feature request unless I remove one of my votes from another feature request?

If so, then the feature request system is stupid and/or broken.

If you work for cpanel, and if you think this feature will help improve YOUR software, then go ahead and add it yourself. I am not interested in wasting more of my time with this.

Good grief. :( It always amazes me when a company treats their "valued" customers like crap, and makes things as difficult as possible, as if we're going to be happy to jump in circles for the privilege of trying to make their software better.

EDITED TO ADD: Sorry, this post wasn't directed at Infopro. It was directed to anyone who works for cpanel and is reading this.

Yes, I read it.

And I still think it's both stupid and broken.

If cpanel wants me, a customer, to help them make their software better.. then they need to to figure out, at least, a method that does not require me to jump through rediculous hoops.

I previously voted for the features I wanted to see, and now I am essentially being told they don't want me to submit a new feature request, because i previously voted for the features I wanted to see.

Stupid. Broken.
