How to setup non-public ftp folder?

    Is it possible to setup an ftp user which stores files to a non-public directory?

    cPanel > FTP Manager > FTP Accounts > Add FTP account

    Within the procedure you mentioned, you can specify the data path. However, that path doesn't appear to be configurable outside the public_html folder.

    I was hoping it could be manualy overwritten to a directory one level higher.
