    Hi there,

Sometimes when I create an account via WHM, I CANNOT browse the website via the domain name.
I have to restart the DNS service, and then I browse the website via the domain name.

How can I setup the dns to be auto-restarted, after I create an account?

    Thanks.

    Best Regards,

if you are using dns clustering then dns auto restarts on all machines in the cluster

if you are still using the master/slave dns servers then the rndc keys must be perfect and so must the syntax in the named.conf and even then its sorta hit and miss

i would highly recommend putting all machines on the dns clustering

you might also run these scripts to fix any errors

    /scripts/fixndc
    /scripts/fixnamed

Yup. If your servers are configured correctly you should never need to restart DNS. The Master/Slave is only "hit and miss" in that there will always be a delay between updating the records on the Master and waiting for them to be pulled over to the Slave (it's usually only 15 minutes or so, though).

    Dear dave9000,

you mean if I Enable Dns Clustering, then after I create a new account, the dns will auto restarts? right?

    Thanks.

    Thanks dave9000 and chirpy.

By the way, if I just only have one server, then I do not need to input my IP into "Add a new server to the cluster", right?
    Thanks.

    Best Regards,
