    Hi All,

Does anyone know how to stop/prevent DDoS attacks. I am getting a lot of http requests from spoofed IPs. I have installed mod_security, but it's not helping me much. Is there any software or anything else to stop or prevent this. I would like to hear some comments on this.

    Go on, have a guess
If you're under a true DDOS then only your NOC can help if they have DDOS protection on their routers. If it's a simple DOS, then adding the offending IP to your iptables firewall is all that's needed.

In the meantime, I'd suggest switching KeepAlives to no in httpd.conf if spawning httpd children is becoming a problem.

When you implemented mod_dosevasive did you also add the text block to enable and configure it in httpd.conf?
